The following are questions that are frequently asked by our patients, click the links to view more information:
How long does a treatment take and how many sessions do I have before I see results?
A specific treatment can take anywhere from five to 15 minutes, depending on the location and severity of a patient's condition. Positive results are often seen following the first treatment. An assessment would provide a more patient-specific estimate of the number of treatments required to gain the best results.
Is ART painful?
Generally ART is not painful. However, comfort levels vary with each individual. At times ART can be described as mildly uncomfortable, but the therapeutic benefits easily outweigh any tenderness felt during a treatment.

Alberta Health Care (AHC) covers $13.61 of each visit excluding TCM and Massage treatments, up to a maximum of $200.00 per year, from July to July. The remaining portion is payable by the patient. When the Alberta Health Care limit has been reached for the year, the rate without AHC will be billed. Please note that with the exception of TCM, there are no additional fees for a new patient appointment.
*Note: Alberta Health Care does not cover any fees related to TCM, however many insurance companies (including specific Blue Cross packages and Workers Compensation) provide particular coverage. You should inquire with your insurance carrier to determine the amount covered. There is a $25.00 initial assessment fee related to TCM services.
Will my extended insurance cover ART?
The patient portion can be fully covered by extended insurance available through some policies. We recommend contacting your extended insurance company to confirm the details of your policy.
Please note that we do not bill secondary insurance companies on your behalf, but we would be happy to assist you with your individual insurance forms.
