What is Frozen Shoulder Syndrome?

Frozen Shoulder Syndrome (FSS) is the restriction of movement from injury, lack of use and pain. Rheumatic disease progression and recent shoulder surgery can also cause frozen shoulder.

What is OTZ?

One-To-Zero [Tension Adjustment] (OTZ) is a proven, non surgical method of diagnosing and successfully treating Frozen Shoulder Syndrome. OTZ Tension Adjustment™ and OTZ Muscle Tension Technique™ successfully treat sufferers and train and certify doctors on how to use the OTZ method to relieve their patients.

What are some Frozen Shoulder Syndrome Facts?

  • While the shoulder is the most movable joint in the body, it is an unstable joint due to its great range of motion allowed. Instability can increase the likelihood of joint injury
  • Frozen Shoulder Syndrome rarely appears in people under the age of 40
  • Those most at risk are people with:
    • Diabetes, stroke, lung disease, rheumatoid arthritis, heart disease, those involved in an accident

How do you treat Frozen Shoulder Syndrome with OTZ?

Without OTZ, treatment for frozen shoulder involves stretching exercises and sometimes an injection of corticosteroids and numbing drugs into the joint capsule. Surgery may be required to loosen the joint capsule so that it can move more freely.

With OTZ, effects are instantaneous, improvements are dramatic and surgery is unnecessary. The One to Zero Tension Adjustment is a complex series of chiropractic adjustments performed in a specific order. The procedure will differ for every Frozen Shoulder Syndrome patient, depending on the needs assessment during the exam.

Who can offer OTZ for Frozen Shoulder Syndrome?

Few chiropractors are able to offer OTZ. Dr Jayson Shephard has been trained and certified for OTZ.

Years of training, clinical experience and certified for OTZ will determine the best method for you as consultation suggests.
