Dr. Matt McManus was born in Fargo, ND. He attended Jamestown University where he played baseball and received his Bachelors degree in Biology. After graduation, he moved out west to Portland, OR to further his education in the medical field at the University of Western States where he completed both his Doctorate of Chiropractic and his Masters degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 2013. After learning an abundance of skills through the the Doctorate and Masters programs he was able to put them to great use in numerous athletic events working as the medical staff. Seaside Beach Volleyball, Rose Festival Soccer Classic, Seaside Beach Soccer Tournament, and Portland Winterhawks Training Camp allowed Dr. McManus to work with athletes of all levels, amateur, collegiate, and professional.

Due to his own love for sports, he knows how important they are to his patients. That is why Dr. McManus chose to focus his practice on Functional Movement and Injury Prevention. His goal is to work with his patients to get them out of pain as quickly as possible, but also to teach them proper mechanics and daily activities that will allow them to return to what they love and to keep doing it long into the future! He has taken a special clinical interest in treating many foot/ankle injuries along with low back, arm and shoulder injuries.

Dr. McManus played many sports growing up, his favorite being baseball, but also included basketball, football, golf, soccer, and broomball. He continues to play on the diamond, but for a different sport, he now plays slow pitch softball here in Calgary. He also enjoys hunting birds with his dog Tulo in the fall and snowboarding in the winter.
